K12 is a dynamic company on a mission to provide the most compelling, comprehensive, and effective K-12 education available. Our employees are a critical part of an organization that is providing powerful, new options for the way children can be educated. They have a passion for education and a drive to make a difference. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest level of integrity. We have the same high expectations for our employees as we do for the students who are in our programs. These are just a few of the values that make K12 a great place to work.
Insight PA Cyber Charter School (ISPA) serves students statewide in grades K–11. As with all public schools, ISPA is available to Pennsylvania residents. While attending ISPA, you must maintain full-time Pennsylvania residency.
ISPA offers a comprehensive online program, including a rigorous curriculum, an innovative learning management system, a full suite of academic and support services, a career exploratory course for middle and high school students, and a Destinations Career Program for high school students. Students can learn at home, on the road, or wherever an internet connection can be found. While attendance, teacher interaction, and daily lessons will be conducted online, lessons will use physical materials and offline tools as well.
All ISPA students will interact with one or more Pennsylvania-certified teachers (depending on grade level) and communicate regularly with their teachers through email, telephone, online synchronized sessions, direct instruction, and regular outings. Teachers will work with students and Learning Coaches (a parent or other responsible adult) in core courses to oversee and assist the students as they work through the year's curriculum.
Students receive instructional materials, including a wide array of textbooks, clay, rocks, and other hands-on educational materials that complement the interactive online elements of the student’s courses, ensuring that students receive instruction using the best method for each subject. The number and type of materials varies by grade and by course.
We believe every student is uniquely brilliant and deserves a high-quality education to help them thrive in school and ultimately be prepared for post-secondary education or going on to a career. Students graduating from full-time online schools receive a traditional high school diploma, and many have gone on to attend top colleges and universities.
