ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Extruder operator position is designed to perform all tasks associated manufacturing and packaging of fluoropolymer tubing at our Plymouth Meeting facility. Functions include, but are not limited to operating cold paste or hot melt extrusion machines, processing intermediate tubing products into finished goods, or other functions as assigned by the Production Supervisor. It is a mutual responsibility of the Company and the operator to maintain a level proficiency in all job functions to successfully carry out the role. Responsibilities will include: Working safely and in an environmentally-sound manner; Manufacturing quality product according to Standard Manufacturing Procedures to meet all internal and customer specifications; Recording and analyzing data to minimize product variation; Packaging and labeling finished goods for shipment; Moving materials; assembling packages and spools; Ensuring machines and tooling are in good condition and advising supervisor when maintenance is required; Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities; Performing general and specific housekeeping assignments, keeping the work area clean and organized on a daily basis.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent. One year related work experience and/or training.
Employee must be proficient in US English language, which includes speaking, reading, writing and comprehension. Ability to read, analyze and interpret business text, customer documents, technical procedures, data tables, and government and safety regulations. Capable to lead training sessions with other operations personnel and to interact effectively with customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding of manufacturing and equipment operations to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with multiple tasks, and with problems involving multiple variables.
