Philadelphia (Conshohocken), PA

The professional we select for this vital role will help to ensure consistently strong product by leading logistics development and contributing to our value chain development with a total cost approach. This individual will secure planning and delivery processes to achieve operations excellence; plan/optimize efficient product flow; and ensure that suppliers have goods ready in time and in large enough quantities to fulfill the needs of our customers at the lowest possible price. Interacting with various stakeholders, this person will achieve logistics operations excellence by taking the lead in operational capacity planning at the supplier level and contributing to tactical capacity planning.

Responsibilities include:
Securing operational capacities by ensuring high quality of capacity data from suppliers and by working continuously toward exceptions with the need planner and supplier in a proactive manner
Contributing to tactical capacity planning based on supplier performance regarding agreed-upon capacity
Updating and securing correct business set-up information in all relevant systems, and working with systems and reports to proactively detect and act on possible deviations from goal
Preparing suppliers for best replenishment and delivery solutions by continuously maintaining/developing supplier delivery performance and sender lead times.
Helping to identify best logistical offer and implementing, maintaining, and reviewing offers with customer and total cost in mind
Actively contributing to the planning and execution of the best set-up for supplier range changes, constraint periods and activities.
Continuously following up, analyzing and taking action to improve supplier delivery performance and ensuring that goods are shipped in time from suppliers
Securing correct availability information from supplier to IKEA Retail for the benefit of customers
Developing and maintaining suppliers the logistic competence of suppliers with the goals of making them responsible for their own performance by working closely with each one, conducting supplier-development projects and providing relevant training and work methods.
Contributing to supplier development by taking the lead from a logistic perspective and engaging relevant competence on the IKEA and supplier ends to assess supplier logistics capability

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications include:
The ability to deliver results by involving and engaging stakeholders within IKEA and our suppliers
The ability to translate the category plan into logistics solutions
A commitment to always act with the customer, supplier, total IKEA and total cost development in mind
The ability to transfer knowledge and working methods to IKEA suppliers
The ability to perform complex analysis and draw conclusions to support the right business decisions and implementations
A good understanding of how one's everyday work adds customer value by delivering to the concept of democratic design
Extensive working knowledge of supplier capabilities, material, production flow, capacity planning and available capacities
Knowledge of administration and reporting systems, including JDA Fulfilment, SCM, GPS, and Qlick View
Knowledge of supply chain cost drivers from raw material to customer and logistic tools, including various replenishment methods, delivery solutions, and lead times

Preferred Qualifications include:
Fluency in English
Analytical skills

A high degree of organization and the ability to prioritize
The ability to work as part of a team
The ability to meet the expectations of multiple stakeholders
The ability to effectively complete multiple tasks within deadlines
Experience in the field of supply chain
