Job Title: CNC Machinist/Shift Leadperson

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Shift Lead Person/ CNC Set-Up
Reports To: General Manager

Job Description:

Oversee production, personnel, quality, and general operation of the shift. Trouble shoots machining errors and assists with set up and fixturing of new jobs. Communicate effectively with other supervisors and management team to ensure customer and company requirements are met.

Qualification/Education Requirements:

X Should have a minimum of 5 years machining experience with CNC mills and or lathes.
X Have understanding of G and M programming codes and Fanuc controls.
X Ability to trouble-shoot and repair machining errors and mechanical alarms.

Job Responsibilities:

X Supervise machine operators assigned to shift
X Train personnel on machine operating procedures, safety procedures, and company policies
X Perform necessary machining operations and tool changes.
X Take necessary discipline action when company policies and procedures are violated.
X Report safety issues, violations of company policy, and security concerns to general manager.
X Communicate machining issues, mechanical problems, and quality concerns to appropriate personnel.
X Trouble shoot and repair machining errors and make tool changes.
X Set up new jobs, create fixtures, prove out programs
X Ensure all quality, production, and relevant documentation are completed accurately.
X Participate in Continuous Improvement Process
