Installation of automatic and manual pedestrian doors, troubleshooting and repair of automatic doors and related equipment, surveying and assessing automatic and manual doors for new install and/or replacement, perform planned maintenance on automatic and manual doors, and security interfacing with doors and related equipment. Requirements: Must possess an excellent driving record, have a positive attitude and solid work ethic, be TEAM oriented, have the ability and desire to work unsupervised, must be forward thinking and organized, have and maintain a neat and professional appearance, and some previous construction, electrical and electronics background and/or education preferred.
The successful candidate must be willing to relocate on a temporary, part-time (during the work week) basis, to the South Central PA area for a period of (12-18) months for training. This position requires training with current employees, installing, replacing and repairing automatic and manual doors in the existing service area of Central Pennsylvania, Northern Maryland, and Northeast West Virginia. A rare occasion may occur that requires an overnight stay to complete a job (once or twice per year). A late model company vehicle and power tools will be provided after 90 days of satisfactory service. Small hand tools are the responsibility of each employee. All work is commercial or industrial. The daily schedule varies depending on the job location and hours of operation of the customer. Driving 3-4 hours per day is common. The average work week runs (40-50) hours, with overtime paid after 40 hours worked. A starting salary is negotiated depending on past experiences. To function proficiently requires some self educating along with company supplied training.
