We have an immediate full-time opening in our Strasburg, PA office for a mid-level Civil/Structural Engineer. This position involves a combination of structural design and construction oversight responsibilities. The immediate need will have the candidate participating as part of a team of technical professionals working on various hydro and other “green energy” projects taking place in the U.S. The position will require experience in structural aspects of both concrete and steel construction in water environments. The successful engineer will have excellent problem solving needs while working one-on-one with the client. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to be mentored by our senior staff having up to 30 years of experience in the fields of hydroelectric and fish passage facilities design incorporating the skills of structural, civil, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Minimum requirements include a BSCE with a minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering. A Master’s degree in structural engineering or related solid mechanics background is desirable. Registration as a Professional Engineer or the potential to become registered within two years is required. In addition to excellent technical skills, successful candidates will possess strong oral and written communication skills, be self-motivated and growth oriented with demonstrated ability to be able to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team while applying structural engineering skills from analysis, design, through to installation.
