JOB OPENING: DIRECTOR OF PRE-SCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN
Overbrook Pre-school and Kindergarten seeks a dynamic new Director, demonstrating strength in leadership and communication, who will share his or her passion for early childhood education with our community.

School Overview:
Overbrook Presbyterian Church established our school in 1965 as a mission to the community, and has created a joyful learning environment in which children are encouraged to explore and wonder, where curiosity is nourished, and the development of social competency is of primary importance. Children engage in meaningful play activities, based on their interests and abilities, which are the building blocks for cognitive, social, and emotional learning. The school’s safe and nurturing environment, supported by our professional and dedicated staff, small student/teacher ratios, parent support services, and implementation of best practices in early childhood education, make Overbrook unique in southeastern Pennsylvania. SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION
•To implement the school’s philosophy, providing vision in program development and management;
•To oversee admission and registration of student body (currently 140);
•To maintain pre-school and kindergarten compliance with governmental regulations and licensure requirements;
•To supervise faculty and staff (currently 22);
•To oversee the financial administration of the school together with the Business Manager and Finance Committee; and
•To work effectively with the school community, Parent’s Association, Pre-School Committee and church’s governing body.

Requirements:
•Certification in Early Childhood Education
•Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or related discipline)
•A minimum of five years’ experience in an Early Childhood setting
•Evidence of leadership and professional strength
•Administrative experience with strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
•Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, (QuickBooks a plus)
