Our Mission
Empowering those we serve to reach their fullest potential as workers and as members of the broader community
Goodwill Industries Philosophy Goodwill Industries believes that work is, and will continue to be, a fundamental building block of community. Employment provides economic independence, as well as the secondary gains of preventing and minimizing other social problems. It empowers each person to develop a broader role within the community.
Programming at Goodwill Industries is founded upon the philosophy that:
- The people we serve are in control of their own destiny including
life’s successes and failures.
- Our role is to teach decision making skills that last a lifetime.
- We help develop the whole person and not just their job skills.
Participation at Goodwill is individualized, flexible and voluntary.
Work: Believing in the power of work is essential in carrying out the mission of Goodwill Industries. We believe that the ability to work and live independently, earn a paycheck, and take care of oneself and their family is the right of every individual in order to enhance the quality of life. Goodwill Industries Keystone Area turns on that power!
